As part of our anual clothing charity drive we collected old and used clothes from everywhere we could. I would like to give a big shout-out to the LUMS Hostel Community who organized a drive and not only did they donate generously they also had the decency to first have the cloths washed/dry cleaned/laundried before putting them in neat brown bags for giving away
We must always remember that those less fortunate than us while needy are humans like us with dignity like ours and we must always always protect their privacy and their dignity. Nobody likes or enjoys taking and wearing used cloths of someone else and if someone is doing so it is through necessity so show them kindness compassion and be graceful about it.
